The historic Drachenfels can be used by people who do not want to run up to the Dragon Castle or Dragon Rock on foot. It is worth to visit the castle and the rock. Below the Dragon's Rock, there is a good opportunity for retreat.
From the top there are beautiful views over the Siebengebirge, the Rhine up to the county.
From here, there are other beautiful opportunities on various hiking trails to the cottage, the Mount of Olives or Löwenburg to hike.

The Drachenfels viewing platform is the main attraction of Königswinter. For the hikers, the plateau is the most interesting via the village of Röhndorf. Once above, you have a breathtaking view over the Rhine and distant surroundings. The less sporty can take the Zahnradbahn to the plateau in Köningswinter. The train can be taken every thirty minutes.
