The ascent to the Drachenfels plateau alone is worth seeing and can be mastered both on foot and by train. There are viewpoints of the Rhine and the surrounding area in various sections of the ascent. The Drachenfels viewing plateau is the attraction of Königswinter. For hikers, the plateau is interesting and accessible via the village of Röhndorf. Once at the top you have a breathtaking view of the Rhine and the surrounding area. The less sporty can take the Zahnradbahn to the plateau in Köningswinter. You can take the train every thirty minutes.
