Once a stop on the Odenwald Railway from Aschaffenburg to Höchst in the Odenwald. Today it is more of a clubhouse.

When the line between Aschaffenburg-Großostheim (1911) and Höchst im Odenwald (1912) was opened, the Schönbusch-Nilkheim station was built. It was the starting point for Aschaffenburg residents to take Sunday walks in Schönbusch Park. It was considered the smallest but most beautiful station for miles around, as it was looked after with love and care by the two station masters. In summer, the windows were decorated with colorful flowers, and in winter, fresh fir branches. Construction of a railway bridge had already begun in 1909. This was not only part of the 32-kilometer line between Aschaffenburg-Großostheim-Höchst im Odenwald, but was also later required for the opening of the Leiderer state port in 1921. In 1925, the Seibert company received a rail connection.
The station building is now the clubhouse of the fishing club.
In 1968, the station was given the name Aschaffenburg-Nilkheim. In 1974, the era of the so-called Bachgaubahn ended when passenger train services were discontinued. In 1991, freight services to Großostheim also ended for good. After the line was closed, the railway enthusiasts and - until 1982 - the Aschaffenburg carnival club Kakadu had their home in the empty station building. In 1982, the city bought the station building from the German Federal Railways and leased it to the Nilkheim fishing club from 1984. They converted it into their clubhouse in 6,000 hours of work.
