Tips
The Rifugio Garibaldi is located about 90 m above the top of the Stelvio pass (so-called Dreisprachenspitze), and is a push-bike route as it is very steep. The Rifugio (which I used to visit regularly on my bike) has been closed several times in the autumn in recent years. It is the starting point for the famous, long Gold Trail and the equally beautiful trail on an old military road down to the Umbrail.
