    Hiking

Doodle door, or Durdle door as it's called is one of Dorset’s most photographed and iconic landmarks. It is part of the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site and is an extremely popular beauty spot.
The magnificent natural limestone arch was formed when the power of the waves eroded the rock and forged a hole through the middle. The name Durdle is derived from an old English word ‘thirl’, which means to pierce, bore or drill.

Breathtaking views of the cliffs and the sea make this a great place to hike and, in the summer, definitely swim. I recommend staying at the nearby Durdle Door Holiday Park.
