Ooh the weather app was so wrong. No rain it said. Wow did it rain! Rather than hit the coastal cliffs, we went a little more inland to see what it had to offer. It had a lot of challenges that's for sure. Even managed to stack it outside the church.

A really cold day, 🥶 REALLY COLD!! But clear blue skies, and no rain. So I'll take that. Continuing with North Dorset, today saw us around the town of Sturminster Newton.

A rather fresh hike! Bimbling around the countryside of North Dorset today. Milborne St Andrew to be precise. Found an obelisk, a castle, a rather naff Longbarrow and a church!! Not bad, not great, but not bad.

Was meant to be a little bimble to 4 churches. Didn't quite turn out that way. Ended up 3 churches, 2 closed, 1 open, Spetisbury rings, bridges, diversions, near misses from cars going too fast, and almost 20k walked. Still a great day out.

Almost 6 months since we hiked together. Great little trek out up the JC trail.

Small one today. Challenging in places though. Definitely would not attempt this in rainy season as a few routes on it are very rural. 2 lovely churches though. So all in all, a nice one for me.

Nice scenic walk along parts of the river itchen, up and around St Catherine's Hill, and then St Cross Hospital Church and Almshouses. A fantastic hike which for me, hit all the right spots.

Tourist day today. No major hiking up hills. Was told to visit Winchester by a colleague at work. So jumped on the old Internet and did a bit of research on the place. So much history about this place. Made for a great different kind of day out.

Very nice trip. I was also in Winchester in May this year and visited the city and the cathedral. Your pictures remind me of some of the places I visited along the way. 👍📷

I do love it up in Wiltshire. It's just tranquil and peaceful. Up on the wandsdyke path today. I was surprised to see only 2 other people all day. Definitely a little treasure.

Just a small mooch after work. Unfortunately the church was locked, though it did say 24 hours. But, this time I didn't mind as what I'd come to see was in the graveyard. The grave of James Alexander Seton. Read in to his story online, or go to my highlight and it's on there. Then off to see the historic medieval 7 arched bridge.

I looked into James A. Seatons history after your recommendation, such an unexpectedly engaging read. Really appreciate the tip, Mike! :)
