Hiking
It is probably the passage through one of Vauban's still standing fortifications. The Landau Gate definitely dates back to 1708, when Marshal Vauban built the "Lauter Lines".
Motorized vehicles are not allowed in the passage. Everything else is (and e-bikes are probably tolerated). So always be careful as a pedestrian there too.
