The church is partially wheelchair accessible. The access path and the path around the church are made of cobblestones and are uneven. The entrance to the church is threshold-free and is via three sufficiently wide double doors.

Hiking
Because the Mechelen beguines were quite wealthy at that time, they could hire well-known architects. The plans are drawn up by the Jesuit Pieter Huyssens, but the execution is in the hands of Brussels resident Jacques Francart, court architect of the Archdukes Albrecht and Isabella. The interior decoration is also provided by the young Malinois Lucas Faydherbe.
