The Eschweiler valley is designated as a nature reserve covering an area of over 600 hectares. A visit is particularly worthwhile when the orchids are in bloom.

Very nice section of the path with many rare plants. On our hike in winter we were still able to discover the dried-up plants of many golden thistles.
