Very interesting example of horticultural art. The paths are all swinging, there are many niches and shady spots with benches. Countless perspectives provide enough material for photographers.

The triangular park is bordered to the north by Friedrichswall, to the east by Willy-Brandt-Allee and to the west and south by Culemannstraße and the parallel leash. It houses the northern part of the New Town Hall with the trammplatz in front of it, the Museum August Kestner and the municipal building authority. Within sight are the Sprengel Museum and the Lower Saxony State Museum. In the south, the park merges into the green landscape of the Leineaue with the Maschsee (Wikipedia).

Pretty quiet and nice place, in the heart of Hanover. Here you have a great view of the New Town Hall. The new town hall and the reflection of the town hall on the Machteich are a beautiful and popular photo motif. Footpaths lead around the Machteich. Unfortunately, the back of the New Town Hall was partially scaffolded when I was there the last two times (on January 29th, February 20th, June 22nd and December 31st, 2019, as well as on April 15th, 2022). I will definitely come back because I would like to photograph the town hall again during the sunset and without the scaffolding.
