The Maschsee is a man-made 2.4 km long and 180 to 530 m wide lake south of the city center of Hannover. With an area of 78 hectares, it is the largest body of water in the capital of Lower Saxony. The lake offers numerous water sports and is a popular recreational area. Wikipedia

Racing bike means driving at a higher speed or am I wrong? The route around the Maschsee is only partially suitable for this. With speed it is not really feasible during the day. Inline drivers just need a lot of space when they are taking a swing and usually they don't drive alone, at least in pairs, next to each other and chatting. So they don't get along much and drive fast, just with caution.
And OF COURSE you can't put children on a leash, so don't get them wrong and get excited unnecessarily !!! But even there you shouldn't drive too fast.
It's better in the evenings, especially in autumn and spring. Many joggers still think that they have wheels between their legs and run where they have no business, on the bike path, but then it goes with more speed. But be careful here too. Racing bike and grip and in autumn with leaves and wet on the way. Or broken branches hidden under the leaves. The Maschsee is beautiful, no question about it, but you should drive here with consideration for others during the day or enjoy the view and run.I don't know now whether the area between Pier51 and Sprengel Museum has already been renovated, but if not, then drive slowly here too and pay attention to the way. Some roots have led to strong arches and so as a man, it hurts a lot, especially with 23 road bike tires and without suspension.
