The lake has its gorgeous turquoise blue color from gypsum mining, hence the gypsum lake near Donnersdorf. All around there is a footpath with seating. According to research, bathing is also done there, but this does not seem to be advisable. Parking there is also difficult and not allowed everywhere, tickets are often distributed. As a cyclist you can stop and have a look at the lake and be enchanted by the color of the water. At one point you can cycle all the way down because the lake is in a depression.
