The Orthodox Church of Sfinții Trei Hierarhi ("Holy Three Hierarchs") was built between 1927 and 1938 on Alexandru Odobescu Street. In 1948, with the ban on the United Romanian Church, the Romanian Orthodox Church occupied the Minorite Monastery and transformed it into a proto-popular church. The Church of Sfinții Trei Hierarhi has been a simple parish church ever since.
