Catholicism has been quite flexible and supple throughout its history. In the 1480s, the bishop wanted to add another tower to complete the tower collection, but there was a lack of financial means. To overcome this shortage, the bishop allowed something unheard of during Lent: the sale and consumption of butter. A (probably venial) sin for a good cause, which, judging by the size and splendid design of the tower, obviously found enthusiastic supporters. And the tower that belongs to it is still called the Butter Tower today.
