The history of Satzvey Castle dates back to the twelfth century. Today it is considered one of the most beautiful moated castles in the Rhineland with original buildings. The castle has gained national recognition through numerous events and events. While the courtyards with the restaurants are always open to visitors, the interior of the castle can only be visited with a castle tour. The castle Satzvey is still home and ancestral seat of the family of Counts Beissel of Gymnich.

Guided castle tours take place on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays between 12:00 - 17:00.
Minimum number: 5 people
Duration: approx. 45 minutes.
Outside these times, a castle tour is possible by appointment.

5, - € for adults
2, - € for children from 4 - 12 years. For children under the age of 4, participation is free when accompanied by an adult.
Single guided tours and guided tours for groups of less than 5 persons cost 25, - €.

The castle Satzvey is a medieval water castle from the 12th century. Throughout the year, a variety of historic festivals and theme parties and concerts take place. Also for weddings, private parties, conferences or meetings you can rent appropriate premises. Since 1977 the castle is owned by Franz Josef Graf Beissel von Gymnich.
