On June 14, 1874, a summer theater was opened as part of the Central Park. The building is now the seat of the Hungarian State Theater and the Hungarian State Opera. On November 11, 1792, the first Hungarian theater group was founded in Cluj. The venue of the oldest permanent Hungarian ensemble moved several times until it finally found its permanent home on the edge of the Central Park. A large part of the performances in Hungarian can be followed by the Romanian audience with dubbing.
