In the heart of the Dresdner Heide is the historic excursion restaurant Heidemühle, which invites you to rest and linger in the warm season with its large beer garden. But even in the cool winter months you don't hibernate here! On the contrary, because in the rustic chimney you can warm up and fortify yourself with a freshly tapped beer. If there is no more free space in the small hut, nobody has to freeze, because spicy mulled wine and a romantic campfire in the garden are provided. The Heidemühle inn is open on weekends and on public holidays; reservations are requested on weekdays. Once the small kitchen and the charcoal grill have been heated up, the bellies of hungry hikers will be spoiled with local, freshly prepared dishes.
Whether you are on foot or by bike in the Dresdner Heide, the Heidemühle offers a cozy resting place all year round and thus a good occasion to take a break to relax. When planning a suitable route through the heath, you can be guided by a system of historical signposts or by the course of the Prießnitz river, which runs directly through the Heidemühle property. Now one can speculate wildly: perhaps the Heidemühle site would not exist without the location on the Prießnitz, or would it? In any case, it can be assumed that it owes its long tradition not least to the small river.
