The Lingnerschloss was built as Villa Stockhausen in 1853. The two-tower villa was built for the chamberlain of the Prussian Prince Albrecht, because he had not married appropriately and therefore had to look for his place of residence outside of Prussia. The villa had been owned by the manufacturer Karl August Lingner since 1906 and was later transferred to the city of Dresden by him.

The view from the castle is wonderful and if you like, you can let yourself be pampered in the restaurant or on the summer terrace.

The building of the Lingnerschloss was built from 1850 to 1853 for the chamberlain of Prince Albrecht of Prussia, Baron von Stockhausen, and is therefore also called Villa Stockhausen. In 1906 it was acquired by Karl August Ferdinand Lingner (1861-1916), the Odol mouthwash marketer and patron of municipal health and hygiene projects. After his death he donated the property to the city of Dresden. In his will, however, Lingner decreed that the park must remain accessible to Dresden residents and should accommodate a comparatively cheap café or restaurant. A beer garden is therefore operated seasonally on the terrace. From here we have an overwhelming view of the Elbe landscape and Dresden.
