Where the monastery garden on the Ems was located until 1975, you can now stroll through the park, which was redesigned in 2007, with many, sometimes bizarre sculptures. The works of art are from Dr. Wilfried Koch and were created as part of the “New 'Old' Gardens” program.

In the immediate vicinity of the Rietberg garden show park is this small park, in which permanent sculptures by the Rietberg artist Wilfried Koch! As a Detmolder, I already know Koch's works, his "demise of the apocalyptic riders" stood at our State Museum on the Ameide for many years.
If you start a tour of the historic old town of Rietberg from the parking lot, you should definitely take this park with you!
