The moated castle (late Renaissance), built in the 16th century, is currently being awakened from its slumber by the new private owner. In the outbuildings, the first agricultural school in Lower Austria was established here in 1856; from 1914 to 1918, the castle served as an internment camp. The castle, which is privately owned, can be viewed from the street through the park; it is surrounded by a moat on three sides.
