The Roman Catholic parish church of Großau stands opposite the castle park in the northeast of the village of Großau in the municipality of Raabs an der Thaya in the district of Waidhofen an der Thaya in Lower Austria. The parish church, which is placed under the patron saint of Laurentius of Rome, belongs to the deanery of Geras in the diocese of St. Pölten. The church is under monument protection (list entry).

The late baroque hall church has a west tower.

The exterior of the church shows a nave with a retracted choir with a three-sided closure with a facade with plaster frames, arched windows with stucco surrounds and a surrounding entablature. On the south side of the choir is a sacristy and oratory extension. The western façade tower with pilaster structure and round-arched sound windows on parapet fields carries a bell helmet over gable slopes.

The interior of the church shows a nave with rounded corners, the window axes are deepened, there is a grooved flat ceiling on three central plaster pilasters over a surrounding cornice. The vaulted organ gallery on a depressed round arch is open through an arch in the upper floor of the tower. The retracted triumphal arch is flat-arched. Between the square-vaulted choir bay and the three-pitch is a belt arch on pillars, connected to the nave by cornices. There is an oratory window on the south side of the chancel. The communion grid is from the construction period.

The stained glass shows Saints John the Evangelist in 1933, Holy Family in 1937 and Annunciation in 1968.

In autumn 2022 the interior restoration of the church was completed.
The church door is locked when no event is taking place.
