Great bike path! Unfortunately only a very short section of the “Garda by Bike” project.
According to the project, a 140 km long cycle path should be built around Lake Garda by 2021.
Unfortunately, I have not seen any construction progress since the first section was completed in late summer 2018 in 2019. A pity! It would be an incredible gain if you could finally cover at least the distance between Riva and Limone on foot or by bike without any damage!!!

Mountain biking

Nice path, but in my opinion it completely misses its purpose. For one thing, there are a lot of pedestrians even on quiet days. As a result, you have to constantly brake, evade and draw attention to yourself. In addition, the end towards riva is an absolute joke. The bike path ends with metal gates that are too closed, as well as a small passage through because you just fit through as a normal weight pedestrian. The bicycles then have to be lifted.

Mountain biking

Sensational bike and hiking trail for the whole family. However, just because of the magnificent views at times completely crowded and therefore not suitable for racing cyclists. At the entrance to Limone, a 500 m long surface was selected for the river pebbles, which makes driving uncomfortable for everyone. Here most, especially racing bikes, can only be pushed. Even walking with cycling shoes will be a challenge at this point.
