The city harbor was built between 1898 and 1901. It is one of the most important inland ports in Europe.

In front of the ship reporting office you will also find one of the decentralized locations of the Square of Fundamental Rights: Location 19 (of 24) - Rhine Harbor.

A few benches offer a beautiful view of the Rhine, over a nature reserve with a meadow and the harbor entrance. There is no longer any catering here.

The place can also be reached during high water and then offers a great view over the wide expanse of water.

The Karlsruhe oil harbor is about 8 km downstream

Drinks were previously offered at the so-called "Warsaw House". Although this is no longer the case today, it is a wonderful place to watch the entrance to the harbor, enjoy the sun and wind and watch the lizards in the masonry.

There is always something to see at the entrance to Karlsruhe's Rhine harbor because here is the Speertor, which separates the harbor when the Rhine is in flood. The water police are also stationed here and the best thing is that there are lots of ships coming and going all the time. Who often have to maneuver here.
