Lake Ferma is an quarry pond. Decades ago, an oxbow river of the Rhine was dredged to extract gravel and sand and Lake Ferma was created. To protect, especially the bird life, boating and diving are not permitted on the lake. Swimming is permitted in the southeastern area and there is also a parking lot there. The swimming season runs from April 15th to October 15th. of every year.
