Very interesting building, which was officially recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1936. Together with the Brabo statue, the impressive building is the eye-catcher on the Grote Markt square. It was designed in the 16th century by the architect Cornelis Floris de Vriendt. He chose a unique combination of traditional style and innovative elements of the Italian Renaissance.
