Hiking

After the intention to produce plastic roof windows was launched in 1959, Meipoortstraat 39k became Ubbink's first plastic production location. The company grew and grew, causing the building in the center of Doesburg to soon become too small. When it became possible to buy a piece of building land on Verhuellweg in 1966, Ubbink seized the opportunity and moved from the center to the north of the city.

Ubbink kept the production location at Meipoortstraat 39k until 1973 for the polyester department, which eventually also moved to Verhuellweg. Nowadays, the Gilde Café is located there.
