The beautiful and well-preserved moated castle was built around 1480. You should take your time and take a guided tour. The castle only really became well-known through the shooting of the film "Three Hazelnuts for Cinderella".

The town of Svihov is worth a trip for the castle alone. A very nice town hall, the old and new Jewish cemetery, the St. Ägidius and St. Wenceslas churches are among the other sights. There are also good places to stop.

It was a lovely day with my daughter exploring the filming location for Cinderella.
In the wall we even found parts of the film set-up that were still attached.
When Cinderella and the prince from the castle (Moritzburg) quickly ride across the fields to the estate .... and you drive the route by car, it becomes clear that the search for the film location was not easy either.
Every year when the film is shown on TV, your heart warms and you think of this special place.
