The city museum has been housed in the Herder House since 1884. It has a rich collection of items on the history of the former imperial city. The Imperial Court and the Swiss Confederation are the focus of the exhibition. Another main theme is everyday culture in Rottweil between 1750 and 1870. Of course, the Rottweil carnival also has its appropriate place in the museum.
