Calm river that gave its name to the novel "Summer in Lesmona". The path on the dike on the left bank, from which you can see Knoops Park and the villas in St. Magnus, is particularly beautiful.

The north bank of the Lesum is partly close, partly directly on the southern slope of the Osterholzer Geest, which is therefore also called the Hohes Ufer. The south bank is flat marshland and is called Werderland west of the Burg-Grambke district

I would particularly like to mention the cycle routes along the Lesum "on" the dike - easy to ride, no car traffic, wonderful view of the Lesum and the opposite side.
