A pedestrian bridge designed as a bascule bridge at the entrance to the Bremen-Vegesack harbor connects the Hafenhöft with the Weser promenade. The bridge was built in 1998-99 according to plans by Design-Labor Bremerhaven (Bernhard Dietz, Benjamin Pfister).

The ships are great to look at, between the harbor and the train station there is a little statue of a girl on the sidewalk with a paper boat over her head. On the floor tiles in front of her are instructions on how to build a paper boat. So cute.
