The Church of the Filippini was built from 1730 on the site of the church of Gesù dei Gesuiti (1602-1718). It is the work of two architects: the Venetian Giorgio Massari, who made the apse and the design of the plan between 1730 (laying of the foundation stone) and 1747, and the Vicenza Antonio Piovene who designed the nave and the facade (1824) . , the latter was created based on an interpretation of Ottone Calderari's project for the church of San Marco. The choir is decorated with stuccowork designed by Massari, an important example of rococo in Vicenza. Along the walls of the nave, in some niches there are wooden statues from the late eighteenth century (the four evangelists) and a statue of the Redeemer, attributed to Orazio Marinali. The church is often used for concerts; Inside, two precious organs by Giovanni Battista Lorenzi (1806-1883) have even been preserved. The church and the adjacent rooms house, among others, the altarpieces of: Pietro Pala ("San Filippo Neri with the Virgin on the Throne" from 1829), Alessandro Maganza ("Motherhood"), Francesco Solimena ("San Paolo and the Magdalene") .
