Vicenza (Italian pronunciation?/i) is an industrial city in northern Italy with 111,764 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019). It is located in the Veneto region about 60 kilometers northwest of Venice and 200 kilometers east of Milan and is the capital of the province of the same name. The city is known for its jewelry and clothing industry and for the buildings by the Renaissance architect Andrea Palladio, which earned it the status of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Vicenza is one of the richest cities in Italy. The German twin town is Pforzheim.
