Vienna State Opera

The Vienna State Opera is one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world and is located in the heart of Vienna. With a history dating back to the mid-19th century, it is considered a symbol of Vienna's rich cultural and musical heritage.Completed in 1869 in the Neo-Renaissance style, the building was initially met with mixed reactions. It opened with a performance of Mozart's Don Giovanni. Unfortunately, much of the building was destroyed in World War II, but it was restored and reopened in 1955 with Beethoven's Fidelio.
