The Hundertwasser Tower is part of the well-known Spittelau district heating plant in Vienna. The originally functional industrial complex was artistically transformed in the 1980s by the artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. He turned the chimney and the surrounding buildings into a colorful landmark with irregular lines, vibrant facades, playful forms, and a golden sphere at the top. The Hundertwasser Tower exemplifies Hundertwasser's idea of combining art, nature, and technology and is considered one of Vienna's most striking and unusual buildings.
