Here on the Wachsenberg there used to be the so-called Lug ins Land, a tower that made it possible to see as far as Colmberg in order to detect possible enemy troop movements at an early stage. It had to be demolished in 1408, at the end of the feud with the Burgrave of Nuremberg.
