Memorial stone to the geologist and teacher Dr. Nikolaus H. Bödige from Osnabrück, who said: "This is my favorite place with a view of Osnabrück, and I could probably end my life here". On the occasion of a hike, he actually died at this point on October 16, 1926 at the age of 67.

The information board, which is normally located on the Bödigestein, went missing in July 2020. In the meantime, however, this plaque is back in the possession of the Hasbergen Culture and Transport Association (KuV).
