The Silberkauler Siefen takes its name from the former mining operation in Silberkaule. It rises in the town of Oberheide at an altitude of 230 meters and then flows northwest through agricultural or forestry areas. It flows through a pond in a forest near Hasselsheide. At Broichhausen it flows into the Dürschbach from the right. The stream has a larger, nameless backwater.
