Europa-Allee is indeed a fascinating street (both going into and out of Frankfurt). This is especially true when you consider that until just a few years ago, there was practically nothing between the trade fair grounds and the Gallus district; the area was originally a freight yard, of which virtually nothing remains (except, for example, the old water tower near the S-Bahn line). The initial plan stems from a first attempt involving a well-known German bank, which was practically ridiculed for the project at the time...

The Europaallee in Frankfurt is the heart of the Europaviertel, which has been under construction since 2005 on the approximately 90-hectare site of the former main freight station in Gallus.
