Tips
Here in the source of the Hasselbach with its fertile meadows, it is hard to believe that this path was an important link between Kalterherberg and Monschau for centuries. In some places you can still clearly see the traces that the carts with their iron-studded hubs and wheels cut into the rock.

There are uncomplicated meadow and forest hiking trails along the Hasselbach, also supported by this small bridge. Only the last few meters directly on the Rur valley are a little steeper.
