A visit to the Ameyoko shopping street is an absolute must when visiting Tokyo. Easily accessible by train (Yamanote Line), it's the perfect place for a true shopping and gourmet adventure, but please note the opening hours. We were there around 9 a.m., and very few shops were open yet. Shops line the streets. Thanks to its proximity to Ueno Park and other cultural attractions, the shopping street can easily be incorporated into a fun-filled day of exploration.
