The Kauwbosstraat used to be lined with plane trees. In its place now appear a few oaks that are upside down in the sand. There are now three, the thickest of which has a trunk circumference of more than one and a half meters. “The trees are landmarks, landmarks of the landscape, and are still 'dressed up' by artists. In total we will be planting five oaks and alders.”
The yellow sand was supplied from Heusden-Zolder, where the new velodrome is being constructed.
