Regional Landscape Lage Kempen vzw organized a few years ago a competition in collaboration with the province of Limburg, which was supposed to put the most beautiful spots in North and West Limburg in the spotlight. The so-called Landscape Stars. While Ten Haagdoornheide, which is separated from the Teut by the highway but connected to it by an ecoduct, received two landscape star spots, De Teut also got one with this beautiful spot "where water and heath meet". To be precise, it is the beautiful fen that lies here at the foot of the Teutheuvel that was awarded two landscape stars. And that is more than justified. You can read all about it on the board next to the sofa. But especially look at that beautiful window. Fact: in the 1960s, this fen was still a pond with a water sports center.
