The Charles de Gaulle Roundabout is ironically called by Warsaw residents the Palma Roundabout due to the presence of the Jerusalem palm. The palm was erected on December 12, 2002. Part of the Greetings from Alej Jerozolimskie project, it was inspired by Rajkowska and Artur Żmijewski's stay in Israel in 2001, and the initial idea for the installation assumed an entire row of trees of this type. Ultimately, instead of a row, Rajkowska decided to erect a single palm. The author treats her project as leftist. The palm was made by the American company Soul-utions.com from plastic and natural materials. It is approx. 15 meters high. It is waterproof. Its stability is ensured by its placement on a metal structure loaded with concrete prefabricated elements.

From a legal point of view, the palm is the property of Joanna Rajkowska. In 2007, the author, in exchange for 40 thousand zł subsidy for the renovation of the installation ceded its property copyrights to the city, agreeing for it to use the image of the palm tree in promotional materials. This agreement expired in 2011.
