Lake Carolasee is one of the most beautiful spots in the Great Garden. Here you can stroll along the shore, watch the ducks, or simply gaze across the water. A short break at the Carolaschlösschen (Carola Palace) is worthwhile – especially in summer when you can sit outside or even take a gondola ride on the lake. The lake is named after Queen Carola, the last queen of Saxony.
