The Münchhausen-Hof in Rinteln had been the noble seat of the von Münchhausen family since the beginning of the 16th century. In 1565 the complex was supplemented by two extensions in the style of the Weser Renaissance. Documents and files were stored in the so-called archive house. The former farm building has been converted into a residential building.
