The stele from 1987, created by artist Klaus Ringwald, has 12 different motives of Bad Säckingen's history.

3 motives show the Irish Saint Fridolin who is Bad Säckingen's Patron Saint. The second side of 3 motives are connected with the local poet Joseph Viktor von Scheffel and his work "The trumpet player of Säckingen". The third side deals with the local bathing traditions.

With the stele on Rudolf-Eberle-Platz, Klaus Ringwald created a unique work of art that tells the story of the town of Bad Säckingen. Some of the depictions are surprisingly revealing.

The history stele, created by the sculptor Klaus Ringwald, shows relief images from the town's history on its three sides. One side shows the founder of the town, St. Fridolin. Another side shows the spa activities of the town then and now. The third side shows the story of the trumpeter of Säckingen, whose story was written by the poet Joseph Victor von Scheffel.
The stele is placed in the center of the square and can be viewed very well and at leisure from all sides.
