"... The Cologne wine merchant and wholesaler Johann Heinrich Alois Haan (1786-1868) built a four-winged courtyard in the 1830s. The manor house is equipped with an 18 meter high observation tower, and a private chapel forms a corner point a protestant church service was celebrated at the harvest festival. The site, which was originally used for agriculture, now serves as a local recreation area under the name "Wochenendplatz Bruchhausener Heide". ..."
