From this vantage point you have a wonderful view of the confluence of the Werra and Fulda. The beautiful old town of Hannoversch Münden is also at your feet. 😊

The Weserliedanlage is a monument erected in 1931 as a roundabout with a viewing point above Hann. Münden.

It commemorates the Weserlied of 1835.

The lyrics of the song can be read on a bronze plate.

The poet and the composer can also be seen as monuments.

The view over the city is very worthwhile.

The Weserliedanlage is a viewing point on the slope of the Questenberg and offers a wonderful panoramic view of the confluence of the Werra and Fulda to form the Weser as well as the old town of Hann. Münden.

The viewing point, made of beige sandstone, was built in 1931 in honor of the poet and composer of the Weserlied, Franz von Dingelstedt (lyrics from 1835) and Gustav Pressel (set to music in 1845).

The two bronze reliefs with the portraits of Gustav Pressel and Franz von Dingelstedt were designed by the Münden sculptor Gustav Eberlein. The lyrics of the Weserlied are engraved on a bronze plaque.
