Setting the limit
In 1213 and again in 1223 the border was mounted, measured and determined in several sections by a commission made up of local followers of the king and the bishop. The twelve commissioners presented their results in minutes. This contained around 100 terrain features that defined the course of the border. Most often, watercourses are mentioned that can clearly define the boundary line over a longer distance. In second place are mountains and hills.
