In 1976, the remains of an American soldier who had fallen on the field of honor were discovered at this location. Maurice E. Lloyd was exhumed and identified by his number. It turned out that this soldier was part of the Century Division, which comprised about 14,000 men and lost 750 in the fighting to liberate the village.Today there is a column and 2 benches here for a rest.
