The Grand, formerly known as the Grand Hotel and later the White Residence, is an iconic building in Nieuwpoort, designed by architect Apollon Lagache in 1924 and currently being renovated to restore its original Belle Époque style. While preserving authentic elements such as the entrance hall, statues and facade details, it is simultaneously enriched with modern additions such as new floors, a tower and domes.

One of those unique monuments, the former 'Le Grand Hôtel' from 1924, later known as the 'White Residence' in Nieuwpoort, is getting a new future. In order to restore the grandeur of the iconic building and give back its status, an impressive and sustainable total project is being realized. With 70 special apartments, the ground floor that is opened to the general public with, among other things, a historical bar and brasserie on the Zeedijk, The Grand is becoming a leverage project with added value for the monument and the wider area.
